The Organisation of Pharmaceutical Producers of India (OPPI) Annual Day is a prestigious event that brings together OPPI members and industry leaders to celebrate excellence, recognize achievements and honor outstanding contributions across diverse business functions including Marketing, Sales, HR, Communications, Sustainability, Medical & Regulatory Affairs and more recently Patient Centricity. This year marked a historic milestone as OPPI celebrates its Diamond Jubilee — 60 years of unwavering advocacy, collaboration, and commitment to advancing healthcare and the pharmaceutical industry in India.
Viji Venkatesh, who is on Jury of the Ranjit Shahani Memorial, OPPI Award for Excellence in Patient Centricity, was present on stage as this prestigious award which was presented by Indu Shahani and Sidharth Shahani.
Being a member of the Jury of this very special award, says Viji, means a great deal to her both professionally and personally. Having worked closely with Ranjit Shahani for two decades, she considers the then Chairman and MD of Novartis, her friend, guide and mentor from whom she has learnt the true meaning of Patient Advocacy. To Institute an award designated to projects focused on the welfare of the patient and establish it in Mr Shahani’s name, Viji feels, is something to be acknowledged and cheered .
