The Friends of Max (FOM) Trustees’ Annual General Meeting was held on February 8-9 2025. The objective was to review current initiatives, set future goals and place before the Board some practical solutions to address challenges .
Over the course of these two busy days, the Trustees engaged in in-depth discussions and drafted a Roadmap for FY 2025-26. The focus remained on streamlining efforts into fewer key areas while ensuring deeper impact. Some of these included:
· Enhancing the structure of the popular Patient Support Group Meetings to maximize their effectiveness
· Expanding FOM & Chai for Cancer (CFC)’s fundraising initiatives
· Strengthening our Social Media presence to improve awareness about our programs and our outreach
The Trustees also established key benchmarks for the upcoming Leadership Summit 2025, scheduled to take place in Kolkata in March. A key focus will be strengthening Friends of Max’s City Chapter Leaders, equipping them to take on future responsibilities and effectively lead the world’s largest patient support group of its kind for patients living with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML) and Gastrointestinal stromal Tumour (GIST) and who are on lifelong treatment.
