On an electrifying Sunday morning, January 19, 2025, Viji Venkatesh, Managing Trustee of Friends of Max and Member of the Board of Directors at The Max Foundation, joined the Dream Run at the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2025. Her mission? To fulfill a young cancer patient’s dream of going to school—and she did it with unparalleled grace and determination.
The atmosphere was nothing short of exhilarating, as Viji Venkatesh, alongside thousands of passionate participants, showcased the heartbeat of Mumbai’s spirit—#hardilmumba. Each runner carried their unique story, but all were united by a shared purpose: creating meaningful change.
Friends of Max proudly left its mark at the Tata Mumbai Marathon, shining a spotlight on Project Shiksha, an initiative designed to provide financial aid for the education of pediatric cancer patients and children of patients on lifelong medication.
The Marathon has become a powerful platform to amplify awareness and raise funds for meaningful causes like Project Shiksha, and for this we remain grateful to the fantastic team at United Way Mumbai– who made the entire process seamless and enjoyable.
We owe a BIG THANKYOU to every generous supporter who answered Viji Venkatesh’s heartfelt fundraising call. Friends of Max’s journey at the Tata Mumbai Marathon is a testament to the power of collective action.

Last but not the least we missed you, Anusha Singh, this year! A passionate FOM supporter, Anusha ran with Viji and was part of our TMM 2024 journey, but could not join us this time due to a small technical glitch. As a Corporate Communications Consultant, she continues to cheer us on every day.
