Ameya Surve

ameyaI joined The Max Foundation in March 2014 and it’s been two and a half years now that I have been associated with Max. I had started with a clean slate with absolutely no experience in this field but have slowly and steadily settled down in this new world. It is said, ‘God’s delays are not God’s denials’ and I have realized how true this is. I got the opportunity to work here a bit late because till then I had never considered this field as a career option. But this job has made me aware of my hidden potential. Every interaction, be it with a patient, a caregiver or a physician is a new learning experience. It’s been a journey of positive transformation for me on professional as well as personal front. There are good days and bad days, but I have learnt to seek the silver lining.

The fact that my words and actions sends forth a tiny ripple of hope in the life of a troubled soul gives me immense amount of satisfaction that money cannot buy. There is no greater reward than working from your heart and trying to make a difference in the world.
